BRILLIANT Barca routed Real last night and shoved them off the top of La Liga.
A David Villa double and goals by Xavi, Pedro and Jeffren had the Nou Camp on its feet and Jose Mourinho and his Galacticos on the floor as they suffered a fifth straight Clasico defeat.
Real boss Mourinho said: “When they went 3-0 up the game was over. I just wanted my players to keep their dignity.”
But he didn’t get his wish because the game ended in a bust-up and a red card for Real’s Sergio Ramos.
Mourinho added: “You have to have character when you lose by five goals. You can’t leave crying.”
Xavi put Barcelona in front in 10 minutes with a brilliant volley before Pedro doubled their lead eight minutes later.
A brawl broke out when Cristiano Ronaldo was booked for pushing Barca boss Pep Guardiola in the chest after he had refused to hand the ball to the winger for a throw-in.
Villa made it 3-0 nine minutes after the break from Lionel Messi’s perfect pass.
The same combination struck again three minutes later, Messi setting up Villa to slide the ball home. Substitute Jeffren bagged No.5 in injury time.
Real’s misery was complete when Ramos hit out at Carles Puyol and received a red card.
Two-goal Villa said: “For my first Clasico I could not have asked for more.”
